Endocrine & hormonal

Your hormones quietly run everything. When they shift, you feel it everywhere.

Mood, sleep, energy, libido, cycle comfort, body composition — all of it is downstream of your hormonal balance. For women navigating PMS, perimenopause, post-pill recovery, or mood swings tied to the cycle, the disruption is real — and supportable.

You probably notice

The everyday signs.

  • PMS that arrives 7–10 days before your period
  • Mood, sleep, or skin shifts with your cycle
  • Heavy, painful, or unpredictable periods
  • Coming off the pill and feeling 'not yourself'
  • Perimenopause symptoms starting earlier than expected

Underneath, it's usually

The root pattern.

  • Estrogen dominance — too much estrogen relative to progesterone
  • Sluggish liver phase-2 detox (the route estrogen exits)
  • Low magnesium and B6 (the cofactors progesterone needs)
  • HPA-axis dysregulation pulling pregnenolone away from progesterone

The science

What's actually happening.

The female cycle is a monthly conversation between estrogen and progesterone, with the liver and gut deciding how the old hormones leave. When detox stalls, estrogen recirculates — PMS, heavy periods, breast tenderness, mood swings follow. The stack supports estrogen metabolism, rebuilds the progesterone-side cofactors, and quiets the inflammatory tone the cycle rides on.

Daily rhythm

Do these.

  • Track your rhythm (cycle, sleep, training, libido)
  • Cruciferous veg 5x/week (broccoli, arugula, cabbage)
  • Strength train 3x/week — the strongest hormonal lever there is
  • Limit alcohol to <3 drinks/week (heavy estrogen + cortisol load)

Quiet sabotage

Stop these.

  • Endocrine disruptors (fragrance, plastic, conventional dairy)
  • Skipping meals — blood sugar drives hormone chaos
  • Stacking adaptogens you saw on TikTok without a plan

Two cycles in, the week-before-my-period meltdown just… didn't happen. My partner noticed before I did.

Common questions.

Can I retake the quiz later?+

Yes. Renu Membership ($9/month) lets you retake the quiz anytime — as often as you'd like — so you can recalibrate your stack as your biology shifts. Your first 7 days are free with any report purchase.

Is this safe on hormonal birth control?+

Some of the stack is, some isn't. Your report tailors it to your method (pill, IUD, implant, off).

Will this help with perimenopause or andropause?+

Yes — both are the same root pattern, amplified by age. The female stack covers perimenopause; the male stack covers andropause / 'low T' symptoms. The report adjusts dosing for either.

How long until I notice a change?+

Women: often by cycle 2; full Vitex effect at 60–90 days. Men: libido and morning energy often shift in 3–4 weeks as nitric oxide and zinc status rebuild.

Is this safe while trying to conceive?+

For women, Vitex is actually used in fertility protocols to lengthen the luteal phase; DIM is paused once you're trying. For men, the male stack is fertility-supportive (zinc and antioxidants both help sperm parameters). Your report adjusts the stack by phase.

Can I take this during pregnancy?+

No — pause Vitex, DIM, and high-dose adaptogens during pregnancy. Magnesium, B6, and omega-3 continue at prenatal-appropriate doses. Always confirm with your OB.

Do I need a hormone test first?+

Helpful, not required. Women: a DUTCH or day-21 progesterone panel confirms the pattern. Men: a free + total testosterone, SHBG, and estradiol panel does the same. The stack supports the underlying physiology either way.

Is this an alternative to TRT or HRT?+

It's foundational support, not replacement. Many members run both with their prescriber's input — the stack handles the cofactors and clearance that HRT/TRT alone don't address. Some men avoid needing TRT entirely by closing the cofactor gap first.

Can I take this if I have PCOS or low free T with normal total T?+

Yes — both are common nuances. PCOS women often need the female stack with adjustments; men with normal total but low free T usually respond best to the male stack because it addresses SHBG and conversion, not just synthesis.

Should I sync my training and supplements to my cycle or week?+

Women: heavier strength work in the follicular phase, longer recovery and magnesium emphasis in the luteal phase. Men: the male stack pairs best with 3 strength sessions/week and a low-alcohol week. The report includes a simple calendar.
